We are a husband and wife team with culinary experience as well as a health/wellness and nutrition background. We strive to provide quality, organic, home-cooked meals for you and your busy families.
David, our chef (and current sous chef At Southland Whiskey Kitchen in Portland), is a San Francisco, CA native, who at a young age was introduced to some of the world’s finest foods in the comfort of his own backyard. His food inspiration stems from a father born and raised in the Philippines, who cooked traditional Filipino cuisine, and a mother who enjoyed preparing scratch made American and Italian dishes. Exposed to a variety of cuisines at such a young age helped to train Chef David’s palate and provoked him to become the inspiring chef, food lover, and all around kitchen guy that he is today. After training with several mentors, as a line cook and sous chef, Chef David is now more than ready to present his own creative dishes for you and your families to enjoy in the comfort of your own homes.
Melanie, our business manager and sous chef, has a chiropractic education under her belt and as such, has been exposed to what true health and real nutrition are. She is committed to educating people about how to invest in their health when it comes to nutrition and the food industry. She believes that food should be used as a proponent to heal the body and that it has every ability to do so. It is her belief that food should be three things: healing, flavorful, and nostalgic.
Together, this dynamic duo hopes to awaken your palate to new, creative flavors using quality, organic ingredients while providing nostalgic, home-cooked meals for you and your family to enjoy.
